"And the Philistine said, "I defy the armies of Israel this day; give me a man, that we may fight together." 11 When Saul and all Israel heard these words of the Philistine, they were dismayed and greatly afraid." - 1 Samuel 17:10-11
Fear can have a paralyzing effect on us if we allow it to. Fear is a faith-eater in that it feeds on your belief about the object of your fears. For example if my fear is witnessing to people, the more I believe- that everytime I open my mouth I will stutter or that the person will just reject the message and be rude to me, the more my fear will grow and the less likely I will witness. Fear feeds off of our thoughts of the possible future. Goliath was the undefeated champion of the Philistine people, he was a beast of a man and he was sure to put fear in any man. (almost any man) So much so that he even put king Saul under great distress and the whole nation under panic as well.
There are giants in our life that we must deal with, but if we don't deal with our fears first we will lose the battle before entering the ring. We must be careful not to feed our fears by thinking so much about the "what ifs". Who cares what happens-- the point is that you stand up for what you believe in and what you know to be true! Don't let fear dominate you. Own your giant, and stop letting fear own you! Remember fear will only get as big as you let it.

- WHAT ARE YOU MOST AFRAID OF? HOW HAS YOUR SPECULATIONS OF THAT FEAR AFFECTED YOUR FACING OF THAT FEAR?
