BIG PROBLEMS, BIGGER GOD!
"For we do not want you to be ignorant, brethren, of our trouble which came to us in Asia: that we were burdened beyond measure, above strength, so that we despaired even of life. Yes, we had the sentence of death in ourselves, that we should not trust in ourselves but in God who raises the dead," - 2 Corinthians 1:8-9
Life can be tricky sometimes. We can be walking with God and doing all that He wants us to do and yet we can find ourselves in the midst of terrible circumstances; parents can lose their children, a missionary gets diagnosed with cancer, or a spouse discovers his or hers has been unfaithful. The question asked by many today is, why do bad things happen to good people? I believe that we can answer this question with another question, why do good things happen to bad people? That actually puts things in perspective for me because there is none good on this side of heaven but One, and He has decided to extend His grace and love upon me anyway. In light of this then all I can really do in the midsts of trials is lean on Him who is bigger than my trials. He who chose to give when I didn't deserve it (and still don't).
Problems can be bigger than us but they are never bigger than our God. Like Paul who was "burdened beyond measure, above strength.. despaired of life" because of the death sentence upon him let us run to God instead of ourselves and the resources we use to make the problems go away. Maybe what God is trying to do is turn "good people" into godly people.

- TODAY TRY AND REMEMBER A TIME WHEN YOU WERE IN DESPAIR, AND WRITE DOWN HOW GOD CAME THROUGH FOR YOU THEN. PUT IT UP SOMEWHERE YOU CAN SEE IT TO REMIND YOU THAT GOD ALWAYS COMES THROUGH.
