"Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour." -1 Peter 5:8
I remember reading an article a couple years back about a woman from Fordsville Kentucky who's remains were found in her backyard. After she hadn't been heard of for about a week the authorities were sent to her home to conduct a welfare check, that's when they found her skull and part of her jaw in the backyard. Not only that but there were 50 or more malnourished hybrid wolf dogs roaming the property. It turns out this woman was a dog hoarder and somehow she must of died and collapsed back there with them, and eventually became dog chow. Sin is like that, If we choose to entertain it in our lives it will eventually eat us up! Sin does that it wants to eat you up till there's no more of you left anymore, but a passing reflection, a mere memory of the man or woman who was once there. It's been rightly said that "if you give the devil an inch he'll take a mile from you".
- WHAT BARRIERS DO YOU HAVE IN PLACE TO PREVENT YOU FROM STUMBLING AND FALLING INTO SIN? WHAT DOES PETER MEAN WHEN HE SAYS THAT THE DEVIL IS LOOKING FOR SOMEONE TO "DEVOUR"?
- "Idle hands are the devil's workshop" -?
