Many folks have this way of thinking– a way of thinking that tells us we’ve got all the time in the world– “I’m still young and I’ve got my whole life ahead of me” type of rational. Like a good friend God’s text message warns us not to take the time we have for granted and the life we possess lightly, because we “do not know what will happen tomorrow” we can be here one day and then gone the next. We are but a “vapor” which can be seen for a moment then we are gone.
Jesus warned of a man who thought he had all the time in the world; a man who said to himself… “My friend, you have enough stored away for years to come. Now take it easy! Eat, drink, and be merry!"' yet God the giver of time and life responded; “Fool! This night your soul will be required of you;” (Lk 12:19-21)
Friend I pray you know Jesus Christ as your personal Lord and savior first and foremost, because apart from Christ there is no life and those that die in Christ shall live again.
The only thing worse than a physical death is the “second death”– eternal damnation apart from God. Secondly, Christian I plead with you that you not take your time for granted, that you live for Jesus and not for yourself. It is appointed for man to die once but then comes the judgement. How much time do you got left? The answer is we don’t really know, so make your time count for Jesus before you meet Him face to face.
- HOW DOES THE FACT OF HELL MOTIVATE YOU TO ACT? HOW CAN YOU MAKE YOUR TIME COUNT FOR JESUS BEFORE YOU MEET JESUS?
