"The LORD, who delivered me from the paw of the lion and from the paw of the bear, He will deliver me from the hand of this Philistine." And Saul said to David, "Go, and the LORD be with you!" -1 Sam 17:37
I love David's trust in the lord. He is fearless in the sight of danger because his reliance is not found in Saul or himself but in God. David had defeated different giants in the past, he had been working out his faith by not backing away from trouble and by waiting for God to show up. I also believe that if we put God to the test (not in a stupid way) by trusting in Him in the many areas and challenges of our life, that we will grow in our faith and dependance on God. See we can either face our giants in faith (regardless of nerves involved) or we can succumb to them in faithlessness. God has already delivered us from the biggest giants who are the penalty of sin and the sting of death. Let us walk with this knowledge; "if God is for us, who can be against us?" (Rom 8:31) Listen the victory is always found in trusting God to do the work of saving, regardless if things don't always turn out how we expect them to. Own your giant, giant faith relies on what God can do--not man!
