DON'T JUMP BOAT WAIT ON GOD!
"Then God spoke to Noah, saying, 16 "Go out of the ark,.. 18 So Noah went out, and his sons and his wife and his sons' wives with him." -Genesis 8:15-16, 18
After Noah and his family had been on the ark for about a year and ten days they came out of the ark. We read in Genesis 8:13-14 that Noah took a peek outside at the beginning of the new year and noticed that "indeed the surface of the ground was dried", but it wasn't till almost 3 months after this that God tells him to step out of the ark and onto dry land. Noah didn't jump boat he waited on God's word. He could of said "well fam it looks dry enough, let's get outta this stinky ark" but he didn't he decided to wait on God's word. This shows us that just because we can do, or think we can do something, it doesn't mean we should do it. God's will isn't a matter of human logic but a about waiting on God's word.
Similarly obedience isn't just doing the right thing but doing the right thing at the right time. Obedience is doing what God said WHEN GOD SAID nothing more and nothing less! If we are going to experience God's grace and peace we need to wait on Him. We can't be like fools that rush in when God never intended us to rush into something (Jam 4:13). And we should not delay somewhere too long after God has called us to move. We cannot be too soon or too late, we must wait! Lamentations 3:25 says, “The LORD [is] good to those who wait for Him, To the soul who seeks Him.”

- CHECK YOURSELF: ARE YOU AT A PLACE GOD WANTS YOU TO BE? OR HAS HE CALLED YOU OUT OF THERE AND YOU'RE NOT MOVING? HOW CAN ONE TELL TODAY IF GOD IS TELLING US TO STAY OR MOVE?
- A grandfather was taking a nature hike with his 6 year old grandson. The child was running ahead, and came to a creek afraid that he was going to fall in, the grandfather said child wait for me and I'll get you across. Surprisingly the child obeyed and when the grandfather got there he lifted him up on his shoulders and waded across the creek. Then the grandchild said "If I hadn't waited on you, I would never have made it across".
