"For you see your calling, brethren, that not many wise according to the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble, are called. 27 But God has chosen the foolish things of the world to put to shame the wise.." -1 Corinthians 1:26-27
Sometimes I wonder how God can use someone like me. I have no Bible college degree, I didn't go to seminary, I speak too fast, and I tend to mix words up. Yet I've seen the Lord use my foolish preaching to encourage others and edify the body. I take comfort in knowing that most of Jesus' early disciples were unlearned and common men. I know the Lord uses the educated, but degree or no degree one must rely on the power of the Holy Spirit to revitalize their life and ministry. I believe if we seek the Lord whole heartedly we will receive back in power as much as we put in, in asking, seeking and knocking. God is glorified in using the foolish things of the world. I am a foolish thing. A foolish thing cannot take any credit for anything the Lord does through them. So take comfort in your weaknesses and inabilities knowing that if you put them to use God will come through for you and use your weaknesses as His strengths.
