“Can we find such a one as this, a man in whom is the Spirit of God?” -Genesis 41:38
Joseph is one of the most influential characters in the Old Testament because he thrived wherever God placed him and because he affected a whole kingdom. Joseph was a kingdom changer! Esther influenced the kingdom of Persia, Daniel influenced the kingdom of Babylon, and Jonah influenced the kingdom of Nineveh. God uses ordinary people to do great things. Esther might of had beauty but without the fear of the Lord she would've never gone before Xerxes! Daniel had knowledge but without the wisdom of God he would've never been able to interpret Nebuchadnezzar's dreams! Jonah could preach repentance but without first repenting himself he wouldn't of reached the whole city of Nineveh and it's king with the gospel! Joseph had humility and ability but without the Spirit of God in his life he wouldn't of been able to influence and save the known world. God can use you and me. Even if you don't ever get to stand before kings and rulers you can still change the world around you, by putting the kingdom of God first in your life. How does that look like.. you ask? By having the fear of the Lord, the wisdom of God, a repentant heart, and most importantly the Spirit of God actively moving in your life.
- INFLUENCE "IS THE CAPACITY TO HAVE AN EFFECT ON SOMETHING OR SOMEONE." YOU HAVE INFLUENCE, BUT DO YOU HAVE SOMETHING OR SOMEONE TO INFLUENCE?
- "These who have turned the world upside down have come here too." -Angry Mob (Acts 17:6)
