"One thing I know: that though I was blind, now I see." -John 9:25
One time while I was waiting for my son outside of the restrooms at Walmart, a woman came with her blind husband to use the restroom. She left her husband outside while she went in to use the restroom. The funny thing is that she walked into the men's restroom instead. My son was like "dad there's a lady in there", I couldn't help but crack up because here you've got a blind guy who can't see and his wife who does have sight yet she didn't see where she was going.
In John 9 Jesus heals a blind man and the religious leaders question the ex-blind man about Jesus. His response still echoes in our hearts today, it has been turned into songs, sayings and sermons. The ex-blind man could now see, his concern was his sight and nothing else. The religious leaders however could not see even though they had sight. They were spiritually blind and headed in the wrong direction. Every Christian is an "ex-blind man" in that we were all spiritually blind before Christ open our eyes and hearts to the truth of Him. Let us walk in the light of our sight and not be like the rigid religious people who were too hardened to see the miracle before their very eyes.
